Building a Pathway Towards Integration in Gaelic Games
This project aims to understand the vision for gender equality in Gaelic games, to examine the current understanding and actions around this and to inform future practise for the potential integration of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) and the Camogie Association (CA) in the hope of forming a gender equal, singe sex association for Gaelic games. This project will review the merger process across the public and private sector particularly in Sporting Governing Bodies both in Ireland and internationally. This research aims to close the gender gap that currently exists in leadership by better understanding the experiences of female leaders.
